I led the design of the icon and logotype for Voyance, an AI-powered app that manages social calendars through insights from text conversations.
The founders wanted the mark to capture the human connection at the core of the product. I developed a symbol with layered meaning—a subtle "V" for Voyance, a heart for friendships and relationships, and a chain link for connection. The result is one unified shape holding three distinct symbols, with rounded forms and soft endpoints that feel warm, approachable, and human.

ICON SKETCHES
I began the project with exploratory icon sketches, investigating abstracted human forms alongside more geometric shapes representing connection.
ICON DESIGN | ROUND 1
I expanded on the chosen sketch—a V-shaped chain link—testing proportion, overlap, and form across multiple iterations. The client encouraged a move away from symmetry, favoring a mark that captured the quirks and eccentricities of people. I responded by introducing intentional asymmetry and deeper symbolic layering.
I explored digital gradients and watercolor textures that echoed the AI-generated artwork accompanying each event in the product. I also conducted color studies and developed app icon mockups to evaluate dimensionality, cohesion, and legibility.
ICON DESIGN | ROUND 2
The client ultimately favored a solid color palette over gradient or watercolor treatments. We selected a deep maroon to convey warmth and emotional connection, complementing the layered V/heart/chain link symbol.
LOGOTYPE FONT OPTIONS
I explored a range of geometric sans serifs in sentence case to align the logotype with the icon’s warmth and approachability. With Polymath serving as the primary product typeface, the logotype was designed to feel cohesive and typographically related.
FINAL LOGO DESIGN
The resulting logo design balances precision and warmth, capturing Voyance’s intersection of AI intelligence and human relationships.
